报告题目：Nonlinear Singular Problems
报告人简介: Nikolaos S. Papageorgiou本科就读于美国麻省理工学院,博士毕业于哈佛大学，现为雅典国立科技大学教授。主要研究领域为非线性泛函分析、偏微分方程、优化与最优控制等，曾担任Disc. Cont. Dynam. Syst., Nonlinear Anal.等著名SCI刊物的副主编，在Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.， Memoirs Amer. Math. Soc.等权威刊物上发表SCI收录论文300余篇，在Kluwer, Springer等著名机构出版学术专著8部。
内容摘要：We consider a nonlinear Dirichlet problem driven by a nonhomogeneous differential operator and with a reaction which exhibits the competing effects of a parametric singular term and (n-1) superlinear perturbation which need not satisfy the Ambrosett-Rebinowitz condition. We prove a “bifurcation type” result describing the set of positive solutions as the parameter \lambeda>0 varries. We also examine singular (p,q)-Neumann problems.

报告人简介:胡守川，现任美国密苏里州立大学教授，主要研究方向为非线性分析和微分方程与动力系统。创办了美国数学科学研究所，并连任研究所主任。创办了国际著名学术期Disc.Cont.Dynam. Syst.,并一直担任主编，这个杂志在微分方程、动力系统及应用领域扮演着国际导引的重要角色，其编委会由相关领域全球最权威的数学家和科学家组成，如菲尔兹奖获得者、美国科学院院士等。同时，胡守川教授也是SCI杂志Commun. Pur. Appl. Anal.的主编。
